HARDWARE INFRASTRUCTURE

R&A's technological infrastructure operates through a network of Pentium computers ranging from 1 GZ to 3 GHZ using Windows 2000 dual processor Servers. R & A possesses an extensive in-house developed library of software programs, which are used in the analysis and design, along with other commercial programs. Backup of a System Consultant is available to ensure optimum performance & maintenance of the Computer Network.

R&A also uses for critical day-to-day operations, on-line database applications such as E-mail, File Transfers & Internet. R&A's network infrastructure utilizes the latest in proven technologies. Microsoft's products are leveraged to maintain a consistent, high availability, computing environment to maximize user productivity. Data integrity is maintained using Windows 2000 security, regular backups and virus protection. Desktop units support general office automation activities (Word, Excel, Power point, E-mail) as well as high-end engineering applications such as Autocad 2004 and Microstation/J V7.1.

APPLICATION SOFTWARE INFRASTRUCTURE

R&A uses state-of-the art design software programs such as STADD-PRO, RISA 3D, RAM Structural, Microstation & AUTOCAD 2004. Numerous FORTRAN programs are used for structural analysis. AUTOCAD is used extensively for all drafting work. Other commercial programs such as STRESS, COGO, RAM, RISA, STADD Pro, AUTOSTEEL and AUTOPE structural are used to model and design various structures for seismic & wind loads. The in-house FEEEST Program is capable of forecasting manpower allocation for each discipline & phase of design.

R&A is well equipped with a Technical Library. It has a composite source of information relevant to changing technology.
